Visiting Research Professor Maggie (Minhong) Wang from University of Hong Kong visits the Center


The visiting research professor Maggie (Minhong) Wang from the University of Hong Kong is visiting Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Future Education at Beijing Normal University for eight days, from August 17 to August 24, 2016. Prof. Wang has been invited to be one of the visiting research professors at the center since July, 2016.
 
To understand how to conduct a research under the topic of “Major Recommendation and Career Planning based on Data Analysis”, Prof. Wang, Prof. Haijing Jiang (her husband), Prof. Shengquan Yu (Executive Director of the center), Dr. Yu Lu, and Dr. Wei Cui had an academic exchange and discussion in the morning of August 18. In the meeting, Prof. Yu shared his ideas about the system on subject recommendation and career plan first, and then Prof. Wang discussed promising research design with attendees together. This meeting marks the beginning of a new research project. Prof. Wang will have a more in-depth exchange with professionals from the Subject Teaching Lab of the center and teacher representatives from Beijing middle schools in the following days. In addition, she will deliver a keynote speech on “STEM+”, an Innovative Education Exchange Symposium in 2016.
