On December 8th, 2020, the organizing committee of the 15th eLearning Forum Asia (eLFA) announced that Advanced Innovation Center for Future Education (AICFE) received the Gold Award for Community outreach (Figure 1) and the Silver Award for Technology Innovation (Figure 2), which were given respectively to Expert-Based Collective Advising Mechanism (ECAM) and Intelligent Robot Project.

ECAM Received the Gold Award for Community Outreach
The Community Outreach Award is presented to institutions or individuals who use technology and community service to improve the quality of education for disadvantaged groups. ECAM is an educational public service that enables in-services teachers at public middle schools to interact with students online for extra-curricular learning across all districts, which establishes an Internet platform to meet students’ needs through one-on-one real-time tutoring, live classes, Q&A center, micro-lectures and other personalized services models. ECAM innovates the way to coordinate teachers and brings benefits to disadvantaged families, so that students could enjoy high-quality public education services without increasing family expenses.
Intelligent Robot Project Received the Silver Award for Technology Innovation
The Technology Innovation award is presented to organizations or individuals who have made technological innovations in education and effective use of technology. Intelligent Robot Project team, led by Associate Professor Yu Lu, mainly targets on designing an intelligent robot system which provides more enjoyable learning experience, more accurate assessment, and better learning performance for learners in a variety of teaching situation through natural language processing, affective computing, and knowledge tracking, etc. Besides, this project has also been awarded by International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) in 2019.

At the award ceremony, Professor Shengquan Yu and Associate Professor Yu Lu, respectively representing ECAM and Intelligence Robot Project, delivered the acceptance speech. They showed the prospect of AICFE is that it will continue to provide high-quality and intelligent education services to more teachers and students through the new generation of information technology, especially artificial intelligence.
