Professor Robert J Tierney Visited AICFE
Professor Robert J Tierney from the University of Sydney, Australia visited Advanced Innovation Center for Future Education (AICFE) on September, 2. Professor Shengquan Yu, the Executive Director of AICFE and Associate Professor Ning Ma from Beijing Normal University (BNU) attended the meeting. Professor Janette Bobis from the University of Sydney also attended the meeting through Skype. They discussed the progress of collaborative research programs between BNU and the University of Sydney together. All collaborative research programs proceed as planned. Professor Janette Bobis will give a speech on behalf of Associate Professor Danhui Zhang and Doctor Paul Ginns in STEM in Education Conference on October 26-28, hosted by AICFE. Xuanwei (Ada) Ma, Project Executive of International Cooperation Office, introduced AICFE, and then attendees discussed prospective cooperation in the future.

Honorary Professor and Former Dean, faculty of Education and Social Work at The University of Sydney, Australia; Professor and Former Dean, Faculty of Education at University of British Columbia, Canada; and Visiting Professor at Beijing Normal University, China. His research interests are: English and literacy, mathematics and science, and teacher education and professional learning. He is in editorial review board of Reading Research Quarterly from 1995 to present, he is also in the editorial advisory board of Pedagogies from 2006 to present.
