The Ministry of Education of Singapore visited the Advanced Innovation Center for Future Education at Beijing Normal University to explore the new future of education


On the afternoon of May 12,2025, a delegation from the Ministry of Education of Singapore visited the Advanced Innovation Center for Future Education at Beijing Normal University. The delegation, consisting of six members including HO Khoon Hock, Director of the "Lifelong Learning Journey" Division under the Department of Digital Excellence and Products, and Angeline HUANG, Director of the Learning Technology Division under the Department of Educational Technology, was warmly received by Professor Yu Shengquan, Executive Director of the Advanced Innovation Center for Future Education at Beijing Normal University; Associate Professor Lu Yu, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory; Li Xiaoqin, Director of the Administrative Office; and doctoral students Tang Xiaoyu, Liu Yajuan, Wang Jiong, and Wang Zhizun.

At the exchange meeting, Professor Yu Shengquan delivered a welcome speech, and Associate Professor Lu Yu gave a comprehensive introduction to the center, focusing on the innovative practices in intelligent education technology research and service. He showcased the significant achievements of multiple projects such as "Smart Learning Companion," "Open Tutoring," and "AI Intelligent Learning" in promoting educational equity and quality improvement. He also detailed how these projects leverage cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence to precisely meet educational needs, providing personalized and intelligent educational support and services for teachers and students.

The representative of the Ministry of Education of Singapore shared the achievements of the digital transformation of education in Singapore. In the discussion, they highly affirmed and praised the research results of the Center for Advanced Studies, believing that they are highly innovative and forward-looking, and are in the leading level in the global education field, providing valuable experience for the development of Education in Singapore.

Professor Yu shengquan concluded by saying that he looks forward to bilateral cooperation in education, scientific research, personnel training and other fields in the future, so as to jointly build an innovative education ecology and contribute to global education development.
