ICFULL

The capabilities of emerging technologies are expanding rapidly with theories, methodologies, and practices of technology-enhanced language learning (TELL) evolving reciprocally. This has brought forth new language teaching and learning phenomena. There is thus great interest around the world in the role of technologies in language education, including its potential to provide greater access, affordability, and personalization. The future of language learning in the ever-changing digital era needs to be constantly envisioned. To address future and current questions that have emerged alongside developments of emerging technologies, the second ICFULL conference (ICFULL 2023) will be held in Beijing from 29-31 May, 2023.

ICFULL 2023 aims to involve scholars and practitioners to share and exchange their wisdom in exploring the potential of cutting-edge technologies in future language learning. It calls for original research on theories, research methods, and pedagogies in the field of TELL, particular on the topics of AI-supported language learning, personalized/adaptive learning, digital game-based learning, technology-supported self-directed learning, learning analytics in language learning, and assessment with emerging technologies, etc. It also welcomes design and development studies concerning the applications of emerging technologies in language learning. Ethical issues relating to TELL will also be addressed in ICFULL 2023 for a refined understanding of human-machine relationship. In a nutshell, ICFULL 2023 seeks to shed light on the current status and future trend of language learning empowered by technological innovations.
